As part of my role as Business Development Manager at Mm, I was the product owner for a partnership with Sony PlayStation, the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the Toronto Raptors, based on the theme “Play Has No Limits.”
The main deliverables for the project were two short animated films, created in Dreams, telling the stories of how athletes Dalano Banton (Raptors) and Wayne Simmonds (Maple Leafs) overcame personal challenges to become successful athletes in their respective sports. The project also included a live action behind-the-scenes video with lead artist Matt Bergasse.
As the product owner, I worked with filmmakers, producers designers, and representatives from Mm, Sony and MLSE to develop the story arcs, gain approvals, determine fees and contracts, promotion/comms, and more. This was the first time Mm had completed animated shorts for a client at this duration, and I am so pleased with how they came out!
