Game Room

A catalogue essay for the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles.

Game Room is a project created by the Hammer Museum‘s Department of Public Engagement. The Hammer invited me to write an essay about the works in the show, and I used the opportunity to introduce some game design terminology into a discussion of contemporary art. The reverse side of the essay features a great papercraft game by Rachel Morris, whose work I really admire.
